International degree students need to apply for a Resident Visa before entering Taiwan (with
annotation “FS and the name of school”). It is a required document when you apply for your Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) after arriving in Taiwan

- Important Notice
- Do not use a landing visa to enter Taiwan. If you do so, you will have to leave Taiwan, apply for a new visa, and then reenter Taiwan.
- Foreign nationals who enter Taiwan with a Visitor Visa (for the purpose of pursuing studies) must apply for a Resident Visa at Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before the Visitor Visa expires.
